my pain doc wants to do some more steroid (cortisone) injections, except under x-ray this time so he can pinpoint exactly where the medication goes. although this is treating the symptom (the pain) and not the problem (the disc), all the doctors seem to agree that surgery should be the very last resort. so, hopefully i can get some pain relief and buy some time....
