more PT approved (finally!)

I guess from my perspective, Dr. Dobecki picked a bad time for his wife to have their second baby. Because it has taken far too long to get approval for more physical therapy. But it finally came through (from Dr. Huntley, I think) and I set up a month's worth of appointments starting next week, mainly with Kanoe.

I am eager to get back into the PT because my back has been really day to day. I was doing pretty well at the start of the week, but the last couple days have been rough. I had to take some Flexiril on Wednesday night. I've been taking 300mg of Gabapentin for my evening dose, instead of my usual 100mg. It seems to make me a bit more dopey/sleepy. I didn't necessarily want to increase the dosage, but all the doctors have said I could take way more of the stuff with no harm done. And I've got a prescription bottle full of the 300mg capsules, so why not?

My back hurts right now, probably a 4. It was brutal this morning, maybe a 6 when I woke up. I'll probably reschedule with Rick Delamarter and take a look at the disc replacement. Talked with Dad on the phone, and he made the good point that the recovery time from surgery could be lengthy, and I may need someone to basically take care of me. But what choice do I have? Back pain sucks!
