office ergonomic evaluation

Meeting with Steve Gray (Focus on Intervention, 760-632-0237), an ergonomic expert who came down from Sacramento to look at my office workspace. He was a really nice guy and was very understanding about my situation. He messed with my chair, desk, etc. and said that all those things needed to be adjusted. He said that my chair was old and was not very good for my back, so he will be ordering me a new chair. Hallelujah! I am also to get a footrest, a keyboard wristpad, a paper stand, etc. He mentioned that he had worked with Ali on his cubicle, so we took the elevator up to the 4th floor to see the kinds of improvements that could be made. He said that if I wanted to be able to work standing up, then I should contact him and he would get in touch with General Services to move some shelves, cabinets, etc. I told him I wasn't sure and would think about that.
