My pain level has definitely increased, and I have had to increase my medication dosage correspondingly. Basically instead of taking my meds twice a day, now I am taking them three times a day. Plus, I have added half a vicodin (not sure the dosage). I have cut out the ibuprofen in preparation of my injection on Friday. So, that comes out to:
tramadol: 150mg/day
gabapentin: 300mg/day
vicodin: ???mg/day
Unfortunately I am getting sporadic nerve pain on my right side (buttock, leg, foot) which is very irritating when it arrives and is very unresponsive to stretching. The only thing which seems to relieve the pain is more drugs. Yech!
Apparently Mom has tried to contact Dr. Delamarter's office several times with no response. I called Joanna and left a voice-mail today, so we'll see if I hear back. I am very surprised that I haven't received any surgery instructions considering I am still scheduled for Nov. 4th. Last time (Sept.), I received pre-op instructions about a month ahead of time. Additionally, I e-mailed Cherri last week to ask about the Activ-L disc and have not hear from her. To top it all off, I have heard absolutely nada from my insurance company. I guess they're just going to hold off and hope that I cancel? Joanna has told me in the past that I should just get the procedure done and then keep pestering them for payment. That seems a bit ridiculous. All of which drives me more towards fusion.
