Just received a call from Susie at Dr. Serocki's office (858-492-5415) who said that US HealthWorks does not make the referral to the surgeon (Dr. Peppers) -- I have to do it myself through my Work Comp adjuster. She gave me the name of that person: Melissa Laura (951) 697-7300 ext. 7324
Silly me, I thought this referral was already in the works. I've left a message with Melissa, so now we wait (again). I'm starting to think I'm just meant to get a fusion. I've been praying for clarity in the decision-making process, and perhaps this is it.

Brent--I feel bad I haven't checked in over the holidays and I'm bummed about the coverage issues you face. I feel guilty because I spent a moment of my career doing some coverage work in my early days as a lawyer in San Diego. Hated it. So much so that I changed careers when I moved to Seattle. I wish you the best and hope that if it is fusion yu have to go with, that the surgery will cure your pain enough to get you moving again!
