I've stopped drinking alcohol, pretty much cold-turkey. I thought it would be more difficult to stop that it has been, but so far I haven't really craved it. Thankfully my pain is at a relatively manageable level which relieves some of the temptation to pour a glass....
The reason I stopped is because I learned that the combination of alcohol with ibuprofen is hard on the liver. And I've been taking pretty high dosages of ibuprofen for well over a year....
The thing I'll miss about the booze is that it really did help with the pain and was a good sleep aid too. Oh well....
